450.26 Lemon Balm

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. I planted a few of these “Lemon Balm” plants years ago, and now they are sprouting up everywhere, which is delightful because as you brush against them, the lovely lemon aroma wafts around you. I love it.

It’s been a medicinal plant since the sixteenth century, but as always the actual benefits are dubious. Read about the benefits that do and don’t exist on WebMd. I learned that I cannot drink tea from it due to some aspects of that tea. Darn. But– the yard is greener with that lemony fragrance because of it. I enjoy that.

Lemon Balm

Walk through the deep green

of my yard; breath in citrus

of our lemon balm.
