Day 448 Postcards

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

My CLmooc friends write postcards to each other. If you would like to be a part the sharing, click that link. This time we’re writing about

“What good has come out of the Pandemic for you? What will you hold on to and carry forward from these COVID times?”

CLmooc Blobpost

My photo includes a postcard received today and the day before from friends in Arizona and Scotland.

My poem is about relieving stress by know what can be changed and by appreciating the now each moment. Yes, we know this, but during this difficult time, that is also what keeps my heart pumping towards hope each moment.

It’s not easy keeping oneself hopeful when the world seems so fraught with difficulties. For some, this “good” of these times helps you say “no” when you need to keep time for yourself. For others, it’s just another fact because for some people, the system works against them. Their lives are lived this each day. Think about that, and help work for change.

My poem for the day:

Postcard About This Time

Asked, in this time when time stood still,

what good is more clearly understood?

These two things my heart instilled:

Let go that which cannot be changed.

Be in the moment, thankful, with hope refilled
