Day 394 Remembering Blue
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
Today I looked up at the sky in afternoon and saw the blue sky of my childhood dotted with almost cumulous clouds that usually sprinkled the North Dakota sky. Hours could be spent finding the shapes of creatures and things with story of how each connected in a drama taking place above us. I remember every sky colored with the crayon, “Sky Blue.” This was a new color at the time, 1957! The 64 box of crayola crayons [with built-in sharpener!] wasn’t released until 1958! Sky blue’s hexadecimal is #76D7EA, in case you want that perfect blue in your next sky!
You can explore your favorite colors at Crayola here. When I explore the colors, with blue as a favorite, I would always choose among these:
- Pacific Blue #1CA9C9 [from Crayola]
- View here
- Blue Green #0095B7 [from Crayola]
- View here
- Blue Green #2A97BE [from html color codes]
- View here
Actually, depending on the need, that’s the color I’d slide around until it fit– basically a blue-green hue.
What is your favorite color?
Remembering Blue
Remember the blue
peppered in creatures of white,
floating in our minds.
