Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today, the weather is windy and cold– whipping away the siding on our house, which we had to figure out how to salvage and which I only discovered because I walked into the yard for a picture today of our lovely creeping myrtle, often called periwinkle.
I love that the plant is evergreen, and provides some sense of life during the cold winter greys and browns. And in spring its purple blossoms are like pinwheels in the grass, spreading everywhere and even taking over weeds, a good thing. It’s a great plant for yards because of that.
