Day 368 Purple Surprise

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

Indeed, a surprise on my walk today as I wondered whether the summer would bring too much heat and wildfires. I worry as much as I appreciate the wonders of the world. And as I walked past the junipers and up the stairs to the local credit union as part of my walk, there at the top of the stairs the crocus said, “Surprise! Don’t worry so much!” And so I smiled and looked ahead to the long hill up to the little foot bridge and wondered if I’d see rabbits or deer or a little chickadee… and left my worries behind.

Purple Surprise

Deep in thought I walk

turning past thick junipers- 

up the stairs: crocus!
