To toddlers and cats, 

its the simple things of play 

that engage the mind.

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

Today the cat still enjoys sitting in the box. Her favorite toy is now inside: an old shoe. The old shoe contains hair bands, her second favorite toy. She stuffs her head into the shoe, then her paws to dig out the hair band, which she lifts to her mouth where she shakes it and flings it across the room, chasing and flinging the thing as practice for the mice she catches outside.

Toddlers also are entertained by a box and our usual things they try to understand.

Today is the 50th day of the year, with fifty days of a photograph and a poem to “Remember the Moments.”
