Day 328 Carried

Daily Note

A photograph, a poem each day.

Today I found what I had carried in my wallet for 31 years, the very first teacher certificate from 1985. A career of helping kids succeed in their world– not my preconceived world, but their world and hopes, a journey of teaching and learning together.

Carried

In my wallet I
carried the certificate
for thirty-one years,

Honored to serve.
Taught, with verve.

Reflect curiosity and wonder;

Go boldly and scatter seeds of kindness.

On my classroom door, though I colored this blue
and added the flourishes on each end
Moment Between Worlds
