Excerpt from So Says The River
A few more pink streaks streamed out of the hole and settled around the outer limits of the spring. From inside the hole a clawed and scaled red arm reached up and slapped into the pond, followed by the head of a rose red dragon slipping upward and upward with its entire body, stretching its wings out, settling them beside its immense body to float level with the water in the pond, sitting down, tail searching and then wrapping around the overhanging branch of a pine tree. It cleared its throat and blinked.
