Day 247 NaNoWriMo Caught

Excerpt from So Says The River

Cooler now from the canopy of the pines, but still thirsty, I stepped from behind the pine towards the spring on the edge of the meadow, where a path seemed to lead directly toward the spring through a lovely band of wildflowers. Multi-colored bachelor buttons and white daisies with yellow centers, each in clumps, here and there. The lovely flowers thickened the closer I stepped towards the spring. Sometimes it seemed as if the daisies wrapped around my legs in an anklet of woven stems. My legs felt heavy, like I was lifting the earth with every step.
