PINK

“Pink,” they said.

Not my favorite,

Yet it pleases-

sometimes soft and delicate,

Sometimes bold and bright,

Sometimes just a balance 

to green leaves and blue skies;

Petals dainty leaning on

The edge of the lawn

Or standing tall, bold soldiers in row;

Yet, not my favorite;

“Pink,” they said.
