Shadows

boldly we go

brightly we shine

forward in life

 

buoyed by sunlight

loved by friends

onward through strife

 

hoping each day

bettering the way

for future’s light

 

slowing in time

slowly left behind

a shadow from life

 

but bold

though old

I still shine.
