Prickly Pear is the prompt for #bardotbrush #makingarteveryday and I found a class by Jennifer Nichols that matched what I wanted to do, minus the pot: Painting Cactus in Pots .

My resource photo was my own — I zoomed in on one part and I chose just the full yellow blossom with some buds.
