Cat Language

Cat tail behind computer as cat looks out the window

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. We have cat drama. The neighborhood is suddenly filled with cats— at least seven besides ours. They hang around at our place— rolling, staring, keeping their distance, then chasing. No fights, just a bit of play and hesitation.

But the fun thing is just the different sounds the cats make for different reasons. One reason is: birds. And I remembered this pic and video of our wild little cat:

And so, a poem.

Cat Language

A rush to the window
A “ccccaack cccaaack cccack”
A flick, flick, flick of the tail
Says, “Bird! Bird! Bird!”
