Hide or Annoy

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. My little cat waited for my by the back door, halfway between the door and the steps to the back yard. When I stepped outside to see what she seemed to want, she bounded out to her “spot” in the yard and stared up towards the side yard. I followed her gaze and saw her need and her point. the neighbor’s cat sat on the top of our yard swing, peering over the edge at our cat.

Hide or Annoy?

Cats—
Fascinating creatures;
Is this one, a neighbor’s lovely,
Hiding from mine or, perhaps—
Sitting there, out of reach,
Annoying?
