Be Bright

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Before the grey of winter begins, nature reminds me to hold onto the bright of life and sing its song— as neighbors once did in the age before radio even— to sing and dance and share stories during the cold and grey of winter. It brought the community closer together to help each, to care for one another, during the storms of life. So sing. Dance. Write poetry. And share in the spirit of love and togetherness.

Be Bright

Be bright with hope
like the summer’s ending green
slips on its yellows and reds
as a song
to harmonize
winter’s grey.
