Day 544 Bird Berries
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today on our walk we noticed how fortunate the deer and birds are because the town planted years ago many wildlife friendly trees and shrubs.
Above you see Wayfaring Viburnum — plant birds love, and I love that these berries are red, white, and blue at different stages of ripeness. They are poisonous to humans.
We also found American Cranberry Bush— a small tree, really. You might try to eat them, but may cause stomach upset. Read more here: American Cranberry
Bird Berries
Planted years ago
berries bring fall and food in
red and white and blue.
