Day 529 Too High

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today I noticed that since we pruned our pear tree back to nothing, the pears are too high for the deer. We’ll need to pull them down!

Too High

Pruned pear tree bears fruit 

too high for deer; we pull down 

to the ground ripe pears.
