Day 517 Ready

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. A walk through the yard today in 100° F heat and somewhat smokey air found me staring at this apple, fallen and ready to eat, complete with bird peckings and worms. 🙂

Before the day is over, it will be dessert for a mule deer grazing in our yard.

Ready

By evening a deer
grazing in the side yard will
scoop up this apple.
