Day 502 Wasps
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. This morning, I walked around a little track I’ve created in our yard, just to get a bit of exercise on smokey or hot days. We love the canopy of our backyard and have a cute little table and chairs on the back porch so we can eat meals there, but oftentimes that is not possible when the wasps are out and about. They eventually sense the food and come to feast. If we put up these wasp catchers, it really helps.
Although wasp and bee stings are dangerous to many, all of these stinging creatures are beneficial in some way– especially to eating harmful bugs in the garden. They aren’t aggressive by nature, but they are so irritating when swarming around us and we have the tendency to bat at them, making them angry.
