Day 407 Create

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today we are tired. It’s rainy and cold. Even the cat is napping all day. We stay inside cozy and warm, fortunate to be able to do so.

Still, I create. And today’s photo is my iPad Procreate “stacks” of recent work. It’s a lot. I’ve learned so much since my art journey in 2016, but I am still a novice, a beginner, struggling to create that which is worthy. I may never meet my aspirations, but I will not give it.

I’ve found some styles that I do well [silk painting ] and have even created a How To for you here: How To Silk Painting in Procreate.

And some I still struggle with, like figures and faces.

Yet every time I envision my work and start to pen the lines, I create something that did not exist before, and that is amazing. Think about it– when you put your pen to paper or iPad, you create something for the world that had not been there before.
