Day 376 MarchDoodle Forest

MarchDoodle

My CLmooc friends doodle everyday. Today I chose “forest” as a prompt from DoodleADay ElloLovey. See all the entries here: DoodleADayMarch. Also, some of us are also participating in the “#sketchdesignrepeat #3x3designchallenge” sketch design challenge.

I also want to make this a pattern, but I’ve more to do o that. This particular design included several practice parts: ferns, trees, flowers— different ways to illustrating them.

For the birch tree, I redesigned the monoline stream brush so it changed color with each stamp of the brush— and instead of a circle shape, I replaced the brush’s shape with an irregular textured shape and added rotation so each time I “stamped” it, it changed color and turned a bit and looked like a leaf. I love my new brush!

I hope it brings you some joy, especially if you can imagine walking through it, where the only danger is none but a little bunny that might hop in front of you.
