Day 70

On the Back Porch, Lunch

In the canopy, chirping
A song to us, delightful;
In the garden, blooming—
Lush periwinkle, delicate woodruff,
Columbine, just showing;
Above us, ent sycamore,
Overarching branches,
the entire yard shading;
And nature’s gift,
red-twig dogwood,
Of its own accord arriving,
Now gracefully spreading
In the back yard, growing,
The two of us, loving,
One another, the sounds,
The garden
At lunch
Calming.

Reflect curiosity and wonder —
Go boldly and scatter seeds of kindness…
