Fiddle Creek: The path to Cole Park

A path of peace and calm in today’s busy life is just two blocks away. It’s a path I take to breathe in fresh air and tune in to the nature of our area: deer grazing, turkeys trotting, songbirds singing, brook babbling. No matter the season, I love its beauty. I love the gentle brush of the breeze in the evening and coolness under the canopy on a hot summer day. Gently falling maple leaves create a yellow carpet in the late autumn, just as the snow begins a slow and peaceful dusting over the floor of the little forest. And in between, the rush of spring’s waterfall over the wooden bridge is a wish for a bountiful summer, and winter’s wonderland holds a silent vigil as nature rests.
