Above my door

to remind us

that each day

we begin anew

we sometimes start

in such a rush

we forget

our own

specialness

so

Above my door

leading to the hall

a reminder

to take care

and remember

that each of us

can know

I am able.

I am responsible.

I care about myself and others.

People feel best when they are around me

and enter that hallway

with a smile

to the person

entering

our

room
