Richard Lindner, an artist of colorful and powerful images, is one I had not known before. Looking through the many images, I found bright exaggeration and I thought of the court jester, who often “give bad news … no one else would dare deliver.”

So I exaggerated slightly a jester with CC0 from Flickr and began the journey into bright colors to sadly portray the news of this week: the United States leads the world in number of COVID deaths.

Someone needs to get through to the anti-vax and anti-maskers who defy and deny science and the evidence.

Make America Great Again.

I am so sorry and sad for those who have passed, and there are no words to soothe the pain. We can only keep the message going: Stay Safe.
