Pause on the Bridge

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. This is one of my favorite places I am fortunate to walk every day— the foot bridge over Fiddle Creek to Cole Park. Here we leave Cole Park to rejoin the sidewalk down two blocks to home.

Pause on the Bridge

Pause on the bridge
Over the creek
Above the small ravine;
Stop atop the wooden planks-
Weather-worn yet nature painted
By autumn’s fallen leaves;
Breathe in rain fresh air
And seek to find the calm
Of nature’s gift of silence
In November’s colder morn’.
